Want to compete? Here are the details ...
1. Compete at an Official Preliminary
Every Miss America started somewhere on a local stage in their hometown community or university. It all begins on the local level. Once you win a local title you then go on to compete for the state title at our Miss Texas competition in July. A local director runs each local and they would love to share with you about their local pageant.
As a Miss candidate there is no competition fee to compete in a local competition. You must raise a minimum of $100 for the Children’s Miracle Network to compete in a Miss Texas local. If you compete in more than one, you must raise a minimum of $100 for each one you enter up to a total of $400. Once you have raised $400 you are not required to raise more money and can enter as many local competitions for which you qualify in the current pageant year.
As a Teen candidate there is a fee and the local you are competing in will share what the fee is for their local competition.
