Jack Mitchell loved sports. While golf was his favorite sport, in his younger days he played them all. Jack, the husband of Jan MItchell, was always very supportive of the time she devoted to the organization, and appreciated how valuable the scholarships were to the young women who competed each year. He died on March 31st of this year, and would be thrilled to have a Women In Sports Visionary Scholarship Award named in his honor.
How are you not passionate about advocating and supporting young ladies reach their goals of personal growth, continuing their education and creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime? I have been blessed and honored to be a small part of that journey for hundreds of young ladies in my decade of serving with the Miss Texas Organization.
My ask is that you join the journey and make a difference with a $100 donation. Help a young lady with her goal of college or a trade school, help her bloom into her best self, and help her create memories she will treasure. I promise you will be glad you did.
Part of the Journey Scholarship
Check out this great opportunity for supporting and empowering young women in achieving their dreams and goals by donating to a scholarship that is funded by Friends & Family.
During a time when the economy is struggling, parents / students need all the help they can get. Providing an educational scholarship can be life-changing for a student as they work to complete their academic goals. This fund will hopefully help more than one young lady who is competing for Miss Texas,
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of the young women who receive this scholarship. Plus, every contributor will be listed as a donor.. Even an amount of $10 will go a long way towards helping someone reach their goals. If you're able to give more, that is great too! Every bit helps, and a donation of $25, $50, $75, $100 or $250 can have an even greater impact.
