The Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen Competition is held in conjunction with the Miss Texas Competition, and is the state final for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition held in Orlando, Florida. Contestants may qualify by:
- winning a local competition,
- winning a fair/festival competition (or similar judged event), or
- compete as an at-large contestant (limited applications will be accepted).

ELIGIBILITY:
To compete in a local program you must:
To compete in a local program you must:
- Be at least thirteen (13) years of age on the first day of the State Competition (June 14, 2021);
- Be no older than seventeen (17) years of age as of July 31st in the calendar year of the State Competition, unless you are 18 years old and have not graduated from high school as of July 31st in the calendar year of the State Competition (June, 2021). For the avoidance of doubt, 13 to 17 year old high-school graduates, as well as 18 year old non-graduates as of July 31st, must compete at MAOTeen level;
- Be a US citizen;
- Live or attend full time in Texas for at least the last 6 months prior to the competition;
- Be in reasonably good health;
- Be able to meet the commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the local and state program;
- Be able to participate in the Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen competition in Richardson, TX June 21-25, 2021.
RESIDENCE:
Contestants must have residency in the state in which they compete for 6 months prior to competing in their first local pageant.
Residency is defined as the primary address where you physically live. You may be asked to present proof of residency of you have recently moved.

The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals ("CMNH") is the official charity of the Miss America Organization ("MAO"). With the guidance of the Miss New Texas CMNH Administrator, each local contestant must set up a CMNH fundraising page.
Setting Up Your Fundraising Page
Each local contestant is required to set up a fundraising page at maoteen4kids.org before they compete in their first local event.
Once you have entered all of your contact information and uploaded a photo of yourself, you must register for your local pageant(s). Just locate the pageant you are competing in, put a check in the "Sign Up" box and click "Register." This must be completed before competing in each local program. It is not mandatory to raise funds but you must register.
