To become a Miss Texas candidate, you must enter and win a local competition or win an alternate competition/opportunity.  The Miss Texas Competition held each year in June at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas. This year it will be held during the last week of June with the crowning on Saturday, July 1st!

HOW TO ENTER: 
Step One:  Register with Miss America!  Click HERE.
Step Two: 

• Compete in an official Local Competition.   To see a list of our local competitions, click HERE.  
• Compete in the upcoming Virtual Competition.  For details click HERE 
• Compete as a local winner of a Fair/Festival/College title.  For details click HERE.​

​Each candidate must have a service initiative/platform that they will advocate during their year of service.

Age - 18-28  

• Birth year: 1996 - 2006 for 2024 state/national competition ​
• ​If your birth year is 2006 you may choose to compete as a Teen or Miss
  

School / Residency / Employment

• Must fulfill ONE of the following:
  • Reside in the state of competition, OR 
  • Enrolled in and physically attending classes on a full-time basis at an accredited college or university, OR
  • Employed on a full-time basis in the state of Texas.

Citizenship

• Must be a United States citizen.​​​​
