Since 1990 the Miss Amarillo Area Scholarship Organization has gained extraordinary community support by winning the honor of the "Miss Texas" title in 1994 with Arian Archer Scherimeyer and placed "Top Ten" at Miss America. Also in 1990 "Top Ten", 1995 placed 11th, 1996 - "Top Ten" and Preliminary Talent Winner, 1997 - placed 12th and Overall Swimwear Winner, 1998 - "Top Ten", 1999 - Non-Finalist Interview Award. At the 2000 Miss Amarillo Area Scholarship Pageant, approximately $20,000.00 in scholarships and prizes were awarded.
